General Terms and Conditions of Bandhan School of Business, Santiniketan

1. Courses:

  • Bandhan School of Business, Santiniketan, would run courses approved by ICTE/UGC/University other academic regulatory bodies as per their nomenclatures.
  • Bandhan School of Business, Santiniketan, would run short term training courses for skill development/enhancement, MDPs etc.

2. Admission and Eligibility

  • AICTE Compliance: Admissions are strictly subject to the eligibility criteria prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the respective affiliating university (if applicable).
  • Verification: Admission is provisional until the submission and verification of original academic transcripts, entrance exam scores (CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT), and other requisite documents.
  • Misrepresentation: Any false information provided during the application process will lead to immediate cancellation of admission without a refund of fees.

3. Fee Structure and Payment

  • Schedule: Fees must be paid according to the schedule communicated at the time of admission.
  • Late Fees: Failure to pay dues by the stipulated deadline may incur a late fine or, after a specific grace period, the suspension of the student's access to campus resources.
4. Refund Policy: In the event of withdrawal, refunds will be processed strictly as per the AICTE Tuition Fee Refund Policy current at the time of withdrawal.

Key Clauses for the Refund Policy
  • Timeline for Processing: All refunds would typically be processed within 15 days of the receipt of a formal written application and the return of the original fee receipt.
  • Caution Money: The Caution Deposit (Library/Laboratory) is always 100% refundable regardless of the timing of the withdrawal, provided there are no outstanding dues or damages to property.
  • Documentation: A withdrawal is only considered official upon the submission of a "No Dues Certificate" signed by the relevant department heads (Library, Accounts, Hostel, etc.).
  • Mode of Refund: Refunds are usually issued via NEFT/RTGS to the bank account from which the original payment was made, or a verified account belonging to the student/parent.

5.  Academic Conduct and Attendance

  • Minimum Attendance: Students are required to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance (or as specified by the academic council from time to time) in each subject to be eligible for end-term examinations.
  • Pedagogy: The Institute reserves the right to modify the curriculum, elective offerings, and delivery modes (offline/hybrid) to stay aligned with industry standards and regulatory updates.

6. Code of Conduct and Discipline

  • Anti-Ragging: The Institute maintains a Zero Tolerance Policy toward ragging. Any student found guilty will be dealt with according to the UGC and AICTE Anti-Ragging Regulations.
  • Code of Ethics: Students must adhere to the professional code of conduct, respecting faculty, staff, and peers. Damage to institutional property will result in recovery costs and disciplinary action.
  • Digital Policy: Use of the Institute’s IT infrastructure complies with the Information Technology Act.

7. Placement Services

  • Assistance, Not Guarantee: While the Institute provides comprehensive placement assistance, career counselling, and networking opportunities, it does not guarantee a job or a specific salary package.
  • Eligibility: Placement support is contingent upon the student meeting academic criteria, maintaining a clean disciplinary record, and adhering to the Placement Cell’s specific guidelines.

8. Intellectual Property (IP)

  • Any research, project work, or innovation developed by the student using the Institute's resources shall be governed by the Institute's IP Policy, often involving joint ownership or a license to use the work for academic purposes.
9. Use of Website: You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. Any misuse or unauthorized activity is strictly prohibited.
10. Limitation of Liability: We are not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from the use of our products or website.
11. Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kolkata.
